Costa Noosa Take Home 3 Medals From The CSR Golden Bean Competition 2010/11
Costa Noosa Espresso has been creating some of the finest coffee on the Sunshine Coast for four years.
Their efforts have been rewarded by an impressive array of medals in the 2010/11 CSR Golden Bean Roasting competition, against more than 1000 competitors around Australia.
A silver medal in the Golden Bean Overall category, silver in the Espresso category for their signature Espresso Noosa blend and bronze in the Australian coffee category were feathers in Costa Noosa‘s cap at the competition.
This follows the success in the same competition last year where Costa Noosa won two bronze medals in the Australian Milk-Based and Filter categories with their Capricorn bean.
"Our Espresso Noosa blend delivers a rich, velvety crema and full-bodied flavour.
The Capricorn that won bronze in the Australian section is a single origin bean grown on the Atherton Tableland and has a smooth, rich custard and chocolate palate.
Arabica beans grown in high altitude, high rainfall tropical climates give a sweeter flavoured coffee," said roaster Gavin.
"Someone described us as ‘laid-back coffee nerds‘," said Gavin with a grin, "and I take that as a compliment. We are absolutely passionate about our coffee. We also sell a selection of locally-made cakes and pastries at our Sunshine Beach espresso bar, but the coffee is really what we are about. We aim to make every cup we serve as close to perfect as possible."
